Watertown Idol Season Finale
This Monday was the final show of the 2010 Watertown Idol Contest. After starting with a field of 17 singers it was down to the final two, Jamie Zimdars of Okauchee and Nate Moralez of Watertown. This week's show featured a song by the top five singers that will be touring this summer with the Stage Hogg Band, three songs each by Jamie and Nate along with a duet by the final two. Other songs were performed by the top five and even some of the earlier eliminated singers were on hand for one last song.After a wild week of voting the Watertown Idol Fans spoke and named Jamie Zimdars Watertown's first Idol. She was awarded the top prize of $2500, a professional promotional video, a flat screen TV, an assortment of other great prizes and of course the right to be called Watertown's Idol. Host Chriz Selke also released information on the next program to be run at Buzz Bar, Watch What I can do. It will be a general tallent contest open to all forms of entertainment and oddities. Auditions will start early September 2010. Information will be posted at www.watchwhaticando.com. Selke also confirmed that there will be a 2011 Watertown Idol program starting in January of 2011.

When the final three Idols took the stage this week it was a very emotional group. After a very long ride on the Idol show Michael Peal was the contestant eliminated this week since he had the least amount of votes this week. The field is now narrowed to just two contestants, Jamie Zimdars and Nate Moralez. This week's show featured the final top three contestants singing songs with the live band the Stage Hoggs. Each sang three songs of their choice. The last two Idol contestants are hoping to win the top prize of $2500, a professional promotional video, an assortment of other great prizes and of course the right to be called Watertown's Idol. As always, the contestants will be hunting for votes this week. This is the final week of voting and the results will crown the winner of Watertown Idol. After another record breaking week of voting, Stephen Uselman and Kimberlee Rickerman were the two contestants with the least amount of votes this week and were eliminated from the contest. The field is now narrowed to just 3 contestants. The live band The Stage Hoggs joined the Idols again last night for the second of live band weeks. Each contestant sang two songs of their choice in front of the live band. The audience was wowed with songs like Pride and Joy sang by Nate Moralez, Walking on Sunshine sang by Jamie Zimdars and Mustang Sally sang by Michael Peal. As always, the contestants will be hunting for votes this week to try to make it through to the final round. There was no elimination this week due to the low vote getter, Mike Peal, had a free pass which he earned from charity week when he helped raise the most money and food for the Watertown Food Pantry. Now with just 5 singers remaining, all hoping to win the top prize of $2500, a professional promotional video, an assortment of other great prizes and of course the right to be called Watertown's Idol. This week's program featured contestants doing duets with each other and also a solo song of their choice. The final top 5 contestants will be moving on to next week which will now feature a live band,The Stage Hoggs, for the next three weeks.
